What is your school standing? Links to area schools and districts.

Do
you consider yourself a well-informed parent when it
comes to your Child’s education? Do you like to exercise
your right to know how your child holds up locally and
nationally? Maybe just for the look of disgust that
comes across a persons face when you read a bumper sticker
on the back of your mini van that screams…”My kids’
better than yours!” Unfortunately school isn’t all about
the 3 R’s anymore. Many schools are forced to revolve
around taking tests! Apparently our government feels
that the new curriculum of First Graders should be how
to fill in countless black bubbles on a standardized
test, instead of finger painting.
The children of today are going to be our future; they
will be the people making decisions for us later on
in life. Wouldn’t you rather have a child that is book
smart but at the same time, is fluent in French, or
knows everything there is to know about the great William
Shakespeare? This knowledge does not rain down from
standardized testing. It comes from the opportunities
to take courses that are challenging and for individuals
to get a better understanding of our world. It makes
them special and different from all the other “robots”
that are out there in the world. Since we are living
in such busy society, maybe you have not had the opportunity
to see how your district compares to others. We invite
you to take a few minutes to review our list of schools
and districts. Let you be the judge, check out what
makes them stand out from everyone else, what makes
them special and unique. Is your school listed? We attempted
to list all of Sacramento, Yolo, Sutter, Yuba, El Dorado
and Yuba counties. We also included links to the private
schools in our area. Click here
for links to all the schools. Below are the school districts
with the schools in those districts. We at Connected
Now, Inc. are donating a total of over 3,000 issues
of this month’s issue to be distributed at no charge
to the schools that were interested.
